STEP 1: Hang the bells on the door you use to take your dog out. You can also hang them on a hook closer to the door. Ensure it is easily reachable by your dog.
STEP 2: Whenever you take your dog out, allow the dog to pull or interact with the bells. Demonstrate it a few times to let your pet understand your intent. Exercise patiently and help your loyal friend repeatedly when it does ring the bell, state command associated with going outside. Provide positive verbal feedback and take your dog out.
STEP 3: Repeat the process, always giving the same command and appreciate it. Make sure that you do not distract your dog by mixing many of it's your needs by ringing the bell. Keep it simple and ensure it is meant for one and one task the bell. For example, If you are planning to take your pet outside to play, do not use the bell. let your dog understand that the purpose of a ringing bell is for one specific purpose only.
Best thing we have bought for our dog. Once you train them it work likes a charm. Definitely recommend getting. The bells are loud enough that you can hear it through out the house (depending on how big your house is). Our dog hasn't had any accidents in the house since.
These bells truly work to house train your dog! It was suggested by a friend to give them a try for training and my puppy is already getting the hang of it! I’m so relieved he picked up on it so quick. He goes to he door and rings the bells with his paw or nose when he has to go potty. Our puppy is now 11 weeks old and we got the bells at 9 weeks- so only a couple weeks ago and he is already getting the idea so we’ll. Dogs respond well to the sound of bells so I highly suggest this technique for anyone wanting to train their pet.
This is the perfect length and the bells are positioned perfectly! Our puppy was scratching at the door so I figured let's try bells. When she went to scratch the first day we had the bells up, I touched the bells so they rang. We then went outside. Everytime she went to the door to scratch, I rang the bell. Within 3 days she was touching the bell without cues. Do I recommend these ...yes! With time and patience a pup can learn.
